I went to the Queen City Classic on Thursday for my first LPGA event and it was fantastic. So much less people there so you can watch from anywhere you want basically no matter who the player. You can be right on the rope for every shot if you hustle. Go see them play if you get a chance!

It’s hilarious when an average male golfer thinks they can compete with them

  2. DRUMMAGOGG

Those ladies pure it. Don’t get it twisted not one of us Reddit golfers with our 320 yard drives and 220 yard 4 irons could come close to competing with them

  3. Toodles711

I love golf. Getting this close to see such talent is so cool.

  4. BlueciferST

Charley Hull, I recognize her nuances when at address.

She’s amazing to watch though, incredible golfer.

  5. hear4smiles

Those stems tho. Damn.. I need to hit the gym once in my life. Scratch that I need a new putter.

  6. She keeps her drives so tight. I gotta see if that helps, I push my club way out and maybe that ain’t right

  7. jekstarr

I encourage everyone to watch Taco Golf and Luke Kwon’s recent videos with Lydia Ko from the black tees. She is absolutely incredible.

I would argue most lpga golfers have mechanically better swings than pga golfers.

Without doubt, the tempo is much better at the very least.

    Smooth as silk.

Which makes me wonder why i feel the need to absolutely beat the crap out of the ball on every swing

I would rather drink bleach than listen to
    Morgan pressel

Would never leave the links if I had Nellys swing

  11. philagolfpro

Glad you had a nice time. The LPGA is a such a good tour right now, and wow, what a great leaderboard!

  12. Those bunker practise shots, every ball within a foot.. must be nice

  13. Internal-Piglet-6058

Did you ask Charlie if you could bum a Zyner off her?

  14. MisterGoldenSun

The one that makes me the most jealous is the bunker shot. All those balls right by the hole. Looks so easy. Why don’t mine do that?

If you want to watch a professional golfer up close LPGA events are the way to go.

The event we have in Arizona was so relaxed I was standing so close on the tee box with Hull and Lexie that her caddie had to gesture us to take a few steps back.

You’d have to pay 10k for a pro am or wait in a sea of people to get that close to Rory or Scottie.

  16. I was thinking how annoying it would be to have a crowd even during warmups. But hell, that’s practice too. These ladies can play. Really fun to watch.

I’ve said it many times: an LPGA event is one of, if not the best, fan-friendly experiences.

I’ve been to the one in Phoenix at a couple different venues over the years and always enjoyed it. Like OP said, you can easily be right there on the tee box or green for Korda, Ko and every other top-ranked golfer in the world.

I was once athletic. I’ve been loving golf for almost ten years. I’d lose to all of them 100% of the time. Did I mention I love golf?!

I’ll eventually get better… But never that good.

I went to the Canadian Open years ago when it was in Vancouver area. I went solo last minute for the final round and Lydia Ko won in a playoff. Was absolutely incredible to watch, highly recommend

TPC Riversbend is a great course.

  21. First-Bat-7440

So watch Charlie hull all day, sounds awesome. Plus good golf shots.

  22. Old_Bowl1662

I’ve been to LPGA events twice and it’s amazing how well they hit the ball. Definitely different compared to PGA players but just as fun to watch.

  23. theKman24

I went to the solheim cup. It was much busier than this. Crazy videos.

  24. CinderChop

Whats the doily she’s putting off? Fist time seeing one of those

We try to drive down to the tournament in Arkansas every year (straight down the highway from KC and coming up!)

The fan experience is great. The tournament is cheap to get into. The food is reasonable. If you want you can collect freebies worth more than the ticket to get in. And it is not terribly crowded, so easy to follow a player if you wish.

That, and I believe we should all be copying the ladies swings. They are incredible.

  26. newmansnemisis

What did you think about the course? This is my home course and am super proud that we’ve hosted this tourney the last 2-years!

  27. maxtypea

My dad took me to the du Maurier classic a few times as a kid and encouraged me to mimic the ladies tempo on the course. It’s so pure.

You want to play a weekend game competitively for the rest of your life? The choice is easy, swing like a girl.

  28. ComprehensiveMath101

Went to the Portland Classic and seeing real players gaming up close like that is humbling.

  29. Trappist_1G_Sucks

I was at the women’s US Open on day 4 and Nelly unfortunately had too big a crowd to get a great view. Charley was easier, but she was mostly out of the running by then.

  30. TechnicalDecision160

    Korda’s swing is

  31. chuckit9907

I got to see the Women’s US Open at Pinehurst and it was amazing! Hot as fuck tho lol

  32. bigbigjohnson

These ladies can play and this looks amazing how close you got to witness them perform their craft!

  33. josephfuckingsmith1

There’s a bunch of sports that an average joe could win against a woman in. Golf is definitely not on that list

  34. Matlachaman

Nobody screaming stupid shit for the win.

  35. NativeNevada23

Great post. I went to the 2023 US open at Pebble and watched Nelly play holes 6-9 and then Rose, Brooke and Lydia for all 18 and it was the best golf spectator experience I’ve ever had. Pebble is obviously amazing but these ladies are so good and fun to watch. All elite golf is to me. Glad you had an awesome experience, Charlie is a beast.

  36. GenXer19_7T

Yep. When we had an LPGA event here I used to go every year. It was great. Even at the US Open it was a surprisingly small crowd in most places.

  37. OkSentence1717

Bro their swings are so fucking nice. I think the main reason I like golf is it doesn’t matter male or female or young or old, it’s just beautiful to watch No matter what
